Job Summary:
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining required standards and quality. This role involves cost estimation, BOQ preparation, tender evaluation, billing, and quantity take-offs. The QS ensures accuracy in project costing and supports management in financial decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and rate analyses for projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison statements.
- Prepare client and subcontractor bills as per work progress.
- Conduct site visits for measurements and verification of completed works.
- Monitor project costs and prepare cost deviation reports.
- Assist in tender preparation, bidding, and contract documentation.
- Update material price databases and track market rate fluctuations.
- Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure cost accuracy.
- Prepare monthly valuation reports and support budget planning.
- Work closely with the finance team regarding billing and payments.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs and cost planning
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS software
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and documentation skills
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
Experience:
3–7 years of experience in QS roles within construction
