Job Summary:
The Finance / Accounts Officer manages day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, billing, and payment processing to ensure smooth financial operations. This role supports budgeting, audits, and expense management while maintaining accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The Accounts Officer works closely with procurement, project teams, and management to support overall financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records, journal entries, and general ledger updates.
- Prepare invoices, purchase entries, payment vouchers, and receipts.
- Handle vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and petty cash.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reconciliation reports.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking.
- Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with clients or suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Manage tax documents, bills, and financial documentation.
- Work closely with procurement and QS teams for bill verification.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP systems, or similar)
- Excellent numerical and analytical abilities
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
Qualifications:
B.Com / M.Com / Accounting or Finance degree
Experience:
2–5 years in accounting or finance roles
